Madura GoldYellow GraniteMadura Gold is a warm, neutral, honey colored natural stone with smatterings of contrasting burgundy garnets. The shades & tones vary quite a bit. Using more than one slab in a single room? View your slabs within close proximity to each other to make sure they match. These days, Madura is usually resined. If it's not resined, you will probably feel little pits when you run your hand across it. I had unresined Madura Gold in my last house and absolutely loved it. Loved the color and loved the natural feel. I didn't love the pits but resining fixes this. Should you seal it? Try the water test. * Interesting Fact: Madurai, "the temple town", is a Hindu pilgrimage site in Southern India. In early AD times, Madurai was the capital city for the great Pandya kings.
