Absolute Black Zimbabwe, also known as Nero Assoluto Zimbabwe, is quarried in Zimbabwe in small and large quantities.

This fine grained gabbro has a black background with a small scattering of dark grey flecks. It's been available since 1971 and is used as a construction stone as well as an ornamental stone on interiors and exteriors.
